High Wycombe 1XI made a statement defeating the long talked about Datchet CC at London Road this weekend.
Setting 274, HWCC comfortably bowled out the strong Datchet side for just 188.
Callis and Woodland set the foundations of the High Wycombe innings totalling a 97-run stand before Woodland fell to LBW for 21.
However, Callis continued his run of form raising his total to 59 with 11 boundaries consisting of 10 fours and a six before being caught on the ropes.
Louth and Casterton reset and formed a 116-run partnership with Louth finishing on 63 consisting of 6 fours and a six, whilst Casterton ended his innings with 45.
High Wycombe Cricket Club finished on 274-8, with George Russel contributing a fine 29 not out.
Sam Parry was in fine form over the weekend with his bowling performance taking 4 wickets for just 28 runs in his 9-over spell.
The rain had affected the game; Datchet subsequently requiring 255 from 44 overs.
Whilst Parry was key to the Wycombe success, Parsons and Woodland also played a great part taking 2 wickets each.
Woodland managed to keep his cool as the tensions rose between players, dismissing Naylor and letting his skills do the talking.
Ultimately, Datchet fell short on 188 whilst High Wycombe triumphed in taking the full 10 wickets
“Brilliant win for the boys, to get 275 runs and take 10 wickets was a fantastic effort against a good team!” Skipper Dan Marles commented.
