Rain caused the match to be abandoned as OMT had High Wycombe against the ropes.
High Wycombe 3rd XI travelled to 2020 League winners OMT on Saturday, with HW winning the toss and inviting OMT to have a bat on a damp green one under grey skies.
A short delay to the start of the game meant the match was reduced to 45 overs.
High Wycombe’s bowlers were on top at the start of the game with deserved wickets for Jake Wildman, Zain Naseer and Dan Stay leaving OMT 72-3 after 20 overs.
The innings got away from High Wycombe in the middle overs as two set batsman and missed chances haunted the visitors before some late wickets helped stem the flow of runs and restricted OMT to 231-7 off their 45 overs.
High Wycombe stumbled to 8-3 in reply before rain halted proceedings in the sixth over.
17 overs were lost before the game resumed, leaving High Wycombe needing a revised total of 144 off 28 overs.
Dan and Callum Stay put the pressure back on the hosts before falling for 20 and 19 respectively as the rain returned and the game was abandoned.
High Wycombe finished on 65-5 off 15 overs, five overs short of the 20 overs required to make the game official, subsequently being abandoned with no result.
"Ultimately a day frustrated by rain, but we take away both positives and areas we know we need to improve in the coming weeks," said John Terry, HWCC 3rd XI captain.
