Wargrave 3XI took the pip against High Wycombe 4XI chasing 95 losing only a single wicket.
High Wycombe lost the toss and was put in to bat with five players making their 4th team debut.
With some scores being chipped into the Wycombe total, they finished on 95 all out in the 36th over.
In reply, Wargrave came out hot showing why they won the toss and elected to field.
They chased down 95 in just 12 overs losing only a single wicket.
Although the outcome was not what Wycombe had wanted, leg-spinner Joe Hoggan managed to find some form in turning the ball square which hopefully can prove successful in Wycombe’s 2021 journey.
“A tough week with limited availability but our attitude and commitment was spot on,” skipper Matt Dodds commented.
With short numbers available and five debutants, High Wycombe was unfortunate in their result. However, they look forward to the next few weeks in building a successful team whilst growing their inexperienced players into great young cricketers.
