High Wycombe 5th XI Beat Amersham 4th XI

High Wycombe 5th XI dominate Amersham after bowling them out for 52 in 16 overs.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Wycombe showed why this was the best decision of the morning after Sulayman Warraich found his way quickly onto 43 before being dismissed for 43.

He was amply supported by Amit Mallya (30) and Mahesh Gopalakrishnan (17). All of which contributed to the Wycombe team totalling 171 runs for just the loss of 6 wickets in 40 overs.

High Wycombe 5th XI continued their run of form as Steve Gould (4-24), Sarim Zafar (3-19) and Atharva Naik (3-4) took the game apart with their incredibly effortless spells of bowling.

Amersham 4th XI were subsequently bowled out for 52.

Skipper Bibby said: "An excellent performance all around. Putting a good score on the board will be key for us this year. Once again our bowlers were fantastic and in reality, Amersham were never likely to chase down the target given how slow the outfield West Wycombe is."
